Body Found in Northwestern Vanderburgh County is Believed to be Missing Evansville Man - Positive ID Pending
Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office News Release - May 18, 2012
The Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office found a body believed to be that of a man recently reported as missing. Rodney Lee Conner was reported missing by his family on May 15th. They told Sheriff's deputies that he had not been seen since May 4th. Family members initially believed he left the area due to recent personal issues but became concerned as more time passed without any contact from him. During the course of the investigation, information was developed that led investigators to search an area of woods off of Detroy Rd in northwestern Vanderburgh County. Ohio Valley Search and Rescue personnel and canines were called to assist in the search. The searchers located the body within the wooded area. Positive identification is pending by the Vanderburgh county Coroner's Office however evidence at the scene indicated that the body is that of Conner. No foul play is suspected.
