Original Post: The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to restrict NORTHBOUND traffic to one lane on the US 41 Twin Bridges between Henderson and Evansville on Monday & Tuesday, July 30 & 31, 2012. The daytime lane restriction is for deck cleaning and maintenance work on the northbound bridge.
Northbound motorists traveling the US 41 Twin Bridges can expect to encounter one lane traffic starting at about 8:30 a.m., CDT, on Monday and Tuesday. Motorists should slow down and be alert for merging traffic on the northbound bridge approach. Motorists should use appropriate caution where equipment and maintenance personnel will be working on the bridge deck in close proximity to traffic flow. The northbound lane restriction should be removed by 3:00 p.m., each day. Provided a nighttime deck patching project on the southbound bridge is completed as scheduled, this crew plans to clean the southbound bridge deck on Wednesday and Thursday.
