From the Gibson County Sheriff's Office:
Fireworks/burn ban has been EXTENDED until August 21st. This also INCLUDES all open burning (excluding grills).
The emergency declaration banning open burning and personal fireworks has been EXTENDED until August 21st at this time.
The ban could be extended at that point depending on weather conditions.
Pursuant to Indiana Code 10-14-3-34, any person who knowingly, intentionally, or recklessly violates this declaration commits a Class B Misdemeanor and may be fined and/or imprisoned pursuant to law.
All personal fireworks and other open burning is NOT ALLOWED while this declaration is in effect.
This does not however limit the use of gas or charcoal grills. Those items are allowed.
