The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to restrict northbound traffic to one lane on the US 41 Twin Bridges on Wednesday, September 12, 2012.
This northbound lane restriction is to allow the Kentucky Transportation Research Center to replace batteries on the barge collision monitoring system mounted on the bridge piers.
This northbound lane restriction is expected to be in place from approximately 8:30 a.m., CDT, to about 2:30 p.m., Wednesday. All northbound traffic will move to the left-hand or passing lane in this work zone. Northbound motorists should be prepared to encounter slowing and merging traffic starting around the entrance to Audubon Park. Motorists should use appropriate caution in this work zone where equipment and maintenance personnel will be on the bridge deck in close proximity to traffic flow.
