The KYTC plans to restrict traffic to one lane on the US 41 Twin Bridges at Henderson starting at approximately 9:30 a.m., today (October 15, 2012).
This lane restriction is to allow required maintenance work on the bridge navigation lights as requested by the US Coast Guard.
A lane restriction is expected to go up on the northbound bridge starting at about 9:30 a.m., CDT. This northbound lane restriction is expected to be in place about 2 hours. Once work is complete on the northbound bridge the crew will immediately move to the southbound bridge. The lane restriction on the southbound bridge is expected to be up from about Noon to about 2:00 p.m., CDT, today.
All traffic will move to the left-hand or passing lane in this work zone. Motorists should be alert for slowing and merging traffic on the bridge approaches. Caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are on the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
