Two new Evansville firefighters have completed their training and are ready to serve the public. Firefighters Chesleigh Denison and Chad Beckham were sworn-in by the City Clerk Alberta Matlock at a ceremony Tuesday. The ceremony took place during the March monthly Fire Merit Commission meeting at the Evansville Fire Department Administration Building, 550 S.E. Eighth Street, Evansville. Denison and Chad and have undergone more than 480 hours of Fire, HAZMAT and E.M.T. training.
Denison and Chad received their badges from Fire Chief Mike Connelly and Asstant Chief Paul Anslinger. Mayor Lloyd Winnecke welcomed the new firemen and congratulated them on joining a fire department and pledging to serve and protect the public.
