Evansville Day School was placed on lockdown after a call was made to 911 saying there was a person in the school with a gun. There were no reports of shots being fired.
Officers from the Evansville Police Department and Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office responded to the call and secured the campus. A sweep of the school was conducted and no threats were found.
The lockdown was lifted after officer determined the school was safe. An investigation is underway to determine why the initial call was made to 911.
