*Original Post - Gibson County: Today at approximately 1:21 p.m. CDT a crash between a farm tractor and a semi-tractor trailer left one person injured. Preliminary investigation reveals that both a Case farm tractor pulling a Rolling Harrow and a 2008 Mack semi-tractor pulling a tank trailer were traveling south on US 41 at the 33 mile marker. For unknown reason the Case tractor traveled into the left lane and into the path of the Mack semi-tractor.
The Mack hit the tractor which resulted in the injury of the driver of the farm tractor. The driver of the farm tractor was transported by ambulance to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville for treatment of head injuries.
The driver of the semi-tractor, Brian Lamb, of Flat Rock, IL was not injured. US 41 southbound lanes were shut down for approximately 1.5 hours while emergency crews worked the scene.
ISP is not releasing the name of the driver of the farm tractor at this time as the troopers are still notifying family.
Troopers do not believe alcohol and or drugs to be a factor.
