Gibson County – This afternoon at approximately 1:50 p.m., Indiana State Police responded to a two vehicle crash on US 41 at SR 68 that injured a Fort Branch man.
Preliminary investigation revealed Rone Bratcher, 49, of Sikeston, MO, was driving a 2010 Freightliner southbound on U.S. 41 approaching S.R. 68 when he disregarded the stoplight and collided into a 2006 Buick that was eastbound on S.R. 68. The driver of the Buick, William McConnel, 67, of Patoka, was not injured. McConnel’s front seat passenger, Norman Stevens, 64, of Fort Branch, received a head injury and was taken to Deaconess Hospital where he is currently being treated for a non-life threatening injury. Both drivers and passenger were wearing their seat belts. Bratcher was cited for disregarding an automatic signal.
