The victim was in an argument with his wife, the suspect. He was getting into their car to get his things. As he was bent over she hit him in the head with a machete. She left the area before police arrived. They have been married for two years and have together for eight years. They both have moved to Chandler, Indiana about two weeks.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Tepe Park in reference to four black males, one of which had a gun. Dispatch advised that the male in the white shirt was the one with the gun. When officers arrived in the area, all four subjects ran when they saw our police cars. All four subjects ran west, then south toward Monroe Ave. I, Pylant, began giving out the descriptions of the four males and their direction of travel to assisting units. Officers Chapman and Toral were on Monroe when they observed one of the black males running across the street. Officer Toral exited his cruiser and began chasing the black male in the white shirt (offender) on foot. Officer Toral stated he was police and ordered the offender to stop multiple times. However, the offender refused and continued running. Officer Toral eventually caught up with the offender in the east/west alley between Monroe and Jackson, in the 600 block. Once the offender was in custody, he apologized to officers for running and stated he knew it was wrong. The offender could not identify, nor were officers able to locate the other subjects who ran. The offender advised officers that it was the other guy wearing the white jacket who had the gun, but it was only a pellet gun. The offender did not know his name due to only knowing the subject for about a week. The offender was released into the custody of his grandmother.

On April 11, 2012 at approximately 2339 hours, officers were dispatched to 1523 Dresden St in regard to loud music coming from the house. The residents came outside and spoke to the officers and were told to turn down the music which was audible from the corner. At 0008 on April 12th, officers were dispatched to the residence again and again told the residents to turn down the music so the neighbors could sleep. Officers were dispatched to the residence again at 0039 hours and knocked on the door. Officers told the resident responsible for the music that he had been warned and that he was under arrest. As officers attempted to place the resident under arrest, he pulled away and resisted officers. He was arrested and taken to VCCC for disorderly conduct and resisting law enforcement.
