..... - Victim of Impersonation of a Public Servant at 3400 Lincoln Ave Evansville, IN between 04:30 04/27/2012 and 04:50 04/27/2012.
Victim called to report that she believes suspect was impersonating a police officer/security guard. Victim was extremely upset and scared over the incident. She is a doctor and said that she was called to the State Hospital after hours. She said when she entered the property, a white, heavy-set male dressed in all black blocked her with his vehicle. He exited his vehicle with a flashlight and demanded that she stop. He approached her window and shined the light in her eyes. Victim though he was going to open the door. She got scared and drove off. She called the hospital to confirm that the subject was not the security guard. The front desk checked with the facility security guards and they told her the subject was not with security. Victim noticed that the subject was following her and had a flashing light on his car. She refused to get out of the car because she was scared. She parked at the front entrance and waited for security to come outside and meet her. The suspect then parked in front of her car and blocked her in. He exited the car and started walking towards her. She said the facility security guards and a male nurse came out the front entrance. She said the suspect walked over to his car, gave them a newspaper and then quickly drove off. They told the victim that he works for the Courier & Press and they have had problems with him over the past few weeks.

Officers were dispatched to 3820 Oak Hill Rd for a male subject sleeping in the grass. I arrived and found the offender partially laying in the grass area and the parking lot. I woke the offender up and asked him if he was okay. At that time officers could smell a strong smell of a alcoholic beverage coming from the offender's breath. The offender was unaware of his surroundings and believed he was at his residence. The offender had red, watery eyes and was unable to stand without leaning against the patrol car. The offender admitted to drinking Busch Light all day. The offender did have a bottle of Gran Legacy Gin with him. The offender was arrested and transported to the Vanderburgh County Confinement Center without incident.
