Cain, ... - Victim of Battery-simple assault at 3350 N Green River Rd Evansville, IN between 15:37 04/01/2012 and 15:39 04/01/2012.
The victim advised she had a verbal confrontation with the suspect after a road rage incident at the entrance to McDonalds. The victim said the suspect came at her in an angry manner and pushed her. The victim said she raised her arms in an attempt to block the suspect. Report was taken and both parties were separated.
Society - Victim of Criminal Recklessness at 511 E Iowa St Evansville, IN between 19:33 04/01/2012 and 19:35 04/01/2012.
Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of E Iowa Street for a fight in progress. The caller stated a group of subjects were outside verbally arguing. The caller then advised he heard 4 to 5 gunshots. Officers Knight and Hassler arrived and located a female at 511 E Iowa St. The female stated that (offender) was in the back yard and fired gunshots. She stated she did not see him, but heard the shots. When the officers went to the back yard to locate the (offender), the female left. Officers were unable to get her name. While in the back yard we located two bullet casings from a 9mm gun. Officer Hicks located (offender) at Sherman St/Virginia St standing on the corner. (Offender) stated he was at home and the female came over with several other subjects trying to fight him. (Offender) stated he ran through the back yard and then heard several shots. He stated he did not know if he was being shot at. Officer Hicks did not locate a gun on (offender). We then spoke to the reporting party. He stated he saw two females in the street verbally arguing. He then stated it became physical. The caller then stated about 1 minute after it got physical he heard what sounded like 4 to 5 gunshots coming from the alley behind 511 E Iowa St. The caller stated he did not see who fired the weapon. Crime Scene Detective J. Pieszchalski came to the scene and collected the bullet casings. County K9 Bishop came to the scene and tried to locate the gun, but was unsuccessful.
