From Evansville Police Department Incident Reports - April 5, 2012.
ALL SUSPECTS ARE PRESUMED INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW.
Sex Related Victim - Victim of Sex Public Indecency between 08:35 04/05/2012 and 08:46 04/05/2012.
Officer was dispatched in reference to a subject in a green van masturbating. While en route, dispatch advised the suspect left on foot. Officer arrived on scene and met with the reporter and witness. The reporter stated she was inside her house when her daughter (witness) told her to come here and look out the window. The reporter and witness looked out and observed a green min-van parked on the street with a male subject inside. The reporter and witness observed the suspect making up and down motions with his hands in which he appeared to be masturbating The reporter stated she went outside and observed the suspect looking at a house across the street and she stated he did not see her. The reporter then walked up to the van observed the suspect in a state of nudity, masturbating. The reported asked him what he was doing and he stated, "Just sitting here." The reporter told the suspect I know what your are doing. The suspect then wiped his hand off and pulled his pants up. The suspect got out of the vehicle and left walking west on Maryland St. A neighbor across the street stated who he was and the reporter identified him on the MDC. The suspect has three active warrants on file.
Walmart - Victim of Theft-other at 335 S Red Bank Rd Evansville, IN between 11:12 08/01/2011 and 11:13 03/29/2012. Reported 04/05/2012.
Victim's representative stated that the listed suspect is a former employee. Approximately 7 months ago, loss prevention received information that the listed suspect (employed as a maintenance employee) was stealing items from the store. For several months they have surveilling the suspect, but on March 29, 2012 Loss Prevention was watching another suspect and the listed suspect was observed picking up a tube of anti-itch cream and placing it in her left front pocket and walk in the lay-away area which is not a sales area. She then unwrapped the merchandise and placed it in her pocket. When interviewed, she stated she stole daily when she worked for the last 30 days. It is believed at this writing that the suspect has stolen over $200 in the last month. Loss prevention believes she has stolen longer than the month she admits since they have been receiving complaints for over 7 months.
Rajo's Guns - Victim of criminal mischief at 2106 W Franklin St Evansville, IN between 19:50 04/05/2012 and 19:58 04/05/2012.
Officers were dispatched to this address for an alarm. A window on the front door was broken. There is very little suspect information at this time. Owner secured the window.
Schapker, Matthew T. - Victim of Battery-injury at 701 NW Riverside Dr Evansville, IN between 02:15 04/06/2012 and 02:30 04/06/2012.
Officers were dispatched to 701-A NW Riverside Dr in reference to a fight in progress. While officers were on scene the security of Stoney's was escorting a patron out of the bar. The patron was bleeding form the nose and advised officers that he was punched inside the bar. The victim advised officers that he was waiting for his friends inside the bar when the suspect came over and hit him in the face. The victim told officers that the suspect was angry with him because he had prior relations with the suspect's girlfriend. When officers attempted to gather information about the suspect, the victim got angry and could not provide much information. The victim was very intoxicated and was not able to communicate with officers very well. The victim refused medical treatment for his injuries.
