McDonald's Burkhardt/Lloyd - Victim of Traffic Accident-hit & run property at 49 N Burkhardt Rd Evansville IN on 06/22/2012, 02:45.
Vehicle 1 was in the drive-thru at McDonald's 49 N Burkhardt. A customer observed vehicle 1 run onto curb and hit lighted menu sign and then take off. Vehicle 1 was last seen south on Burkhardt toward Lloyd Expwy. Customer notified McDonald's employee. Customer left before officer arrived and did not leave name or contact info. Customer described vehicle 1 as a gray Chevy Blazer, older model, box-style.

Officers were dispatched to 1016 MacArthur Circle for a domestic violence in progress. The caller advised his wife just cut him. Upon aur arrival both parties were located on the front porch of the home. The caller was observed by myself standing in the front yard with a large amount of blood coming from his upper left chest. He stood in one place and appeared to be in pain and have limited movement. His ex wife and resident of the home was standing on the front porch wearing no shoes and appeared mad. The ex wife advised she just cut him and that he was faking. She was placed into handcuffs and immediately became angry towards me for doing so. It was apparent after making contact with the female that she had been drinking. Two juvenile children appeared in the front doorway of the home and were also asked to step outside by myself. I asked if anyone else was inside and the female advised no. I asked where the weapon used to stab the male was and she stated she put it in the kitchen sink. Other officers arrived on scene and the residence was cleared. The weapon was located in the kitchen sink by officers. Crime scene and detectives arrived on scene for further investigation. I transported the female subject to police headquarters to speak with detectives. While on scene she requested medical attention for pain to her chest, back, neck and the rest of her body. She was transported by myself then to Deaconess. When released from there she was transported to the VCCC for her charges. The male subject was transported to St Mary's for evaluation of his wounds. Once on scene he was admitted to the hospital for the severity of them. He advised officers on scene that he was involved in a fight with his ex wife over him leaving and when push came to shove, he went upstairs to get his stuff so he could leave. He advised she came upstairs with the kitchen knife and pushed her way into the room before attacking him and stabbing him. The female advised on scene to officers that she poured his beer out which made him angry. She stated he grabbed her by the hair and pulled her down and across the kitchen floor by the hair.
