From Evansville Police Department Incident Reports - June 2, 2012

Lloyd Pool - Victim of Burglary-non residential at 6101 N First Ave Evansville, IN between 03:05 06/02/2012 and 03:06 06/02/2012.
Officers was dispatched in reference to a commercial burglary alarm. Upon our arrival to the area, it was discovered that a glass entry door had been broken with a large rock and entry to the business had been made. Several officers responded and set up a perimeter. K9 attempted a track but was unsuccessful. At the business, I spoke with the keyholder/manager. She stated that it appeared nothing was taken at this time, but the suspect(s) did gain entry into a key box. Several keys were scattered on the floor both inside the office area and outside the building. I called for crime scene and Detective Taylor arrived to photograph/process the scene.

Listed reporter ... called 911 to complain that someone had nearly torn one of the doors off of a port-a-john in Garvin Park, near the fountain. She also discovered foul language written on some support poles in the children's playground, just north of the pool. Also in this playground on the wood chip mulch was a used condom. ... advised that none of these items were like this two days ago when she was last in in the park. Officers observed these items and advised ... that the Parks Department would be notified. This being a Saturday, no one from the Parks Department would be working. Since officer did not have latex gloves, ... advised that she would remove the condom herself. It is unknown who did the damage or left the condom behind.

Officer responded to Deaconess reference two victims walking in requesting treatment for gunshot wounds. An earlier shots fired call was received in the area of Garvin/Madison. Victim one had wound to right calf and victim 2 had wound to right upper thigh. Both victims refused to cooperate, stating they had no suspect information. Both stated that they walked out of 604 Taylor and were hit by gunfire from unknown location. Detectives were called to Deaconess. Officers did locate a crime scene at 604 Taylor Ave. Crime scene was called.

Officers were dispatched to the area of 604 Taylor Ave in reference to shots fired. Officers located a shell casing along with a small amount of blood splattering on the porch of 604 Taylor Ave. Officers were given verbal consent by the offender to search 604 Taylor where officers located a handgun and a bag of suspected marijuana. The offender was arrested.
