Officers went to the listed address to investigate an active warrant. When officers arrived on scene, we observed Kelly Birkle sitting in the carport area and another white male exit the house, later identified as William Ellison. As officers began interviewing the two subjects regarding our fugitive, officers noticed Ellison exhibiting irrational behavior that was consistent with narcotics use. Trooper Bean asked Birkle if he had any weapons on him or any illegal narcotics and if he could search him for weapons. Birkle consented to the search and voluntarily stated he had methamphetamine in his pants pocket. Trooper Bean retrieved the narcotics and sat Birkle on the ground near the steps. Officers asked Birkle if our fugitive or any other people were inside, in which he stated no concerning our fugitive, but admitted that there were three other people inside. Officers asked Birkle if we could go in and look for our fugitive in which he stated yes. Once inside, officers gathered the three remaining occupants and sat them outside. During our initial sweep, officers discovered items in plain view consistent with the consumption of methamphetamine. Officers returned to Birkle and McGuyer, since he was living with Birkle, and asked for written consent to search for narcotics, in which they both agreed. During our search, officers discovered several active meth labs, paraphernalia and a sawed-off shotgun in Birkle's truck.
