Skyway Shell - Victim of Theft-other >200 <100,000 at 320 E Diamond Ave Evansville, IN between 19:00 05/02/2012 and 06:45 05/03/2012.
The reporter called from the victim business, Skyway Shell, to report that when they came in to work this morning the office was very warm. She turned the air condition on but it didn't work. When they went and looked at the outside unit that sits behind the business, they saw that someone had tried to cut the wires. One wire was cut, the other was damaged.
Owls Nest 30 - Victim of Burglary-non residential at 2415 Sherman St Evansville, IN between 16:00 05/02/2012 and 07:00 05/03/2012.
Officer dispatched in reference to three garages that were broken into. The garages are owned by the Owls Club and used for storage until they get their new building remodeled. Entry to the south building was made through the north service door by smashing the glass out and reaching in to open the door lock. The only item taken from this garage was the outside air conditioner compressor. The compressor lines were cut to remove it. Entry to the north garge was made throgh the front door. The lock hasp was cut and the lock was removed. There was nothing taken form inside this building, but the outiside air conditioner compressor was removed by cutting the lines. Entry to the east garage was made by removing the padlock. There was nothing taken from this garage as far as the reporter could tell. There was no evidence at the scene since the reporter had already been in the garages.
Hall, Charles Thomas - Victim of Theft-other >200 <100,000 at 1111 E Walnut St Evansville, IN between 15:00 05/02/2012 and 13:00 05/03/2012.
Victim advises that someone removed a window air conditioning unit from the window of his unattached garage. Two doors were also damaged on this garage in an attempt to make entry. No suspect(s) at this time.
Glass, William - Victim of Theft-other >200 <100,000 at 1115 W Missouri St Evansville, IN between 14:16 05/01/2012 and 14:16 05/03/2012.
Unknown suspect(s) got into the backyard of the residence and cut the copper refrigerant line for the central air unit. It appears the unit was partially removed off of its base. The victim believes this to have occurred the night before.
Messamore, John - Victim of Criminal Recklessness at 110 Read St Evansville, IN on 05/03/2012, 17:09.
Officers were dispatched to the area of the 200 block of Read St. reference shots fired. On scene the caller stated she heard four gun shots and observed a white truck chasing 3-4 males. Officers checked the area and located the vehicle with numerous bullet holes in the driver side read door pillar. The vehicle was located on Garfield north of Michigan. ...told officers the truck belong to a friend of his and he and victim were in the vehicle when it was fired at. ...stated he drove both the victims to 110 Read St in vehicle to meet with a friend. While he was inside he heard four gun shots coming from outside. He then came back outside and they attempted to leave the area but the truck ran out of gas on Garfield north of Michigan. Victim stated he was sitting in the front passenger seat of the listed vehicle that was backed in to the driveway of 110 Read St. He heard four pops but did not think they were gun fire. He got out to look at his truck and did not see any bullet holes. When the truck ran out of gas on Garfield is when he observed the damage. Other victim was sitting in the rear passenger seat and stated the same as (owner). None of them knew who the suspects were or why they would be shooting at them. Officers located three 9mm casings next to the fence of 110 Read St. Crime scene was called to process the truck and collect casings.
