Friday and Saturday night, between 7:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m., Indiana State Police at Evansville conducted saturation patrols throughout the entire district targeting impaired and dangerous drivers. Troopers issued 229 traffic tickets, 389 warnings and arrested 17 impaired drivers. Troopers at Evansville are responsible for patrolling Knox, Pike, Gibson, Posey, Vanderburgh and Warrick Counties.
The Indiana State Police will continue to conduct saturation patrols and sobriety checkpoints to apprehend impaired drivers and to deter others from drinking and driving.
