The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is advising motorists to be aware of upcoming lane restrictions on State Road 57 (S.R. 57) north of Evansville.
Beginning on or after Monday, March 26, contractor’s crews will begin crack sealing and patching portions of S.R. 57 between the Kansas Road and the I-164 interchange. The roadway will be restricted to one lane and a flag person will be used to control traffic through the work zone. Once the patching operation is complete, crews will mill off portions of the existing pavement and begin paving the roadway. The project was awarded to E & B Paving of Anderson for $671,500.00. All work is anticipated to be complete by the end of June. Inclement weather will cancel work operations for that day.
INDOT reminds motorists to follow the posted work zone speed limit, use caution and consider worker safety when traveling through a work zone. For the latest news and information about INDOT, please visit www.in.gov/indot or www.trafficwise.in.gov .
